We walked out of AI as soon as we were in the distant future. It was dumb to start with – I hadn’t paid good money to sit through Pinocchio – but that was just so stupid we made huffing sounds and barged out.

The original cinema release of Blade Runner was, of course, a travesty. Forget the ending – what about the Magnum PI voiceover? Let’s just forget that it ever happened and just watch the real version instead, shall we?

Have you seen the alternate I am Legend ending? I really wanted it to be better but oh dear not so much.

Thinking about it Waterworld should be in there too… hang on maybe this should be “Top 5 films you should stop watching just before the end”

There’s no reason to start watching Waterworld. That belongs on another list.

The only film that I have ever had to walk out of at the cinema is ‘Stealth’… not heard of it? That surprises me. Basically a really advanced plane plans to take over the world, two young american pilots play hero and save the world while falling in love… needless to say it was not great. Laura and I left about 45 mins before it finished, not even sure why we even thought it would be good, but things were quiet in Devon that evening.

What about Contact, when her dead dad comes to meet her on the beach in space?

I don’t have much sympathy for anyone who enters into a Costner movie. The warning sign was right there on the poster. You’ve only yerselves to blame ;-) That being said, The Postman is infinitely worse than Waterworld.

AI – a crap Robot movie starring Jude Law. Get Carter – a Pointless Remake starring Jude Law. Any other lists we can cross-pollinate with the nanny shagging thesp? In fact, I pledge a box of Mars bars to anyone who can do Top 5 Great Movies Starring Jude Law.

The whole of ‘Legend’ was rubbish. Turner and Hooch of the Dead. However I have to take issue on AI. I love the ending, though it’s not without its problems as a movie.

Not just a bad ending, but a bad film…No Country for Old Men…i can’t remember being more disappointed with a film after so much hype. Got to the end, thought there has to be another 30 mins left to explain what had happened, but no…just the credits…

…what about the obviously rushed 5 minute ending to “iron man”… talk about an anti-climax…

I really enjoyed No Country for Old Men, and the ending seemed to make sense to me – in fact I thought it was an enjoyable film throughout.
